We’re a small family-run Thai and English café in Bridgwater. Khwan leads the kitchen, John looks after front of house, and our son Stefan helps whenever he can.

Our Story

Baan Thai began in Taunton, where we spent two years building a loyal following of dine-in and takeaway customers. When our lease ended, we moved closer to home and began a new chapter in Bridgwater.

Khwan’s cooking is rooted in the flavours of Southern Thailand, with dishes made fresh to order. Alongside our Thai menu, we serve all-day breakfasts and café favourites, plus coffee, ice cream and desserts, so groups with different tastes can all find something they enjoy.
